Although once the unthinkable, the idea of seeing or hearing advertisements while you sleep is not all that far off.
A company in Germany has recently started to use a technology that uses high frequency vibrations that transmit advertisements through public train windows.
The advertisement is played to the inner ear of the person through bone conduction, allowing the advertisement to only be heard by specific individuals when they lay their heads to rest on the window.
Though the plan for this technology is to advance beyond just advertising (music, weather reports, and general forms of entertainment all fall in the list of possibilities), some feel like this idea is nothing less than an extremely pervasive and a somewhat eerie technological advancement.
We want to know what you think: Are “talking windows” an awesome and innovative new way of advertising or just plain invasive?
